If someone asked me whether I was a big fan of Rihanna, my natural response would probably be one of impartiality or disinterest. I wouldn’t say I was her biggest fan, but if you were to look in my iTunes library you would find a fair few songs from the last few years by the artist.
Rihanna recently released ‘Stay’ from her seventh album, featuring vocals from Mikky Ekko. The ballad differs from Rihanna’s recent ‘club’ songs, and is regarded by many critics as a standout track on her album Unapologetic, due to her refreshing vocal performance and the soft guitar and piano-driven instrumentation of the song.
In recent weeks as I’ve had more university work to do in my final term, I’ve been listening to this song a lot due to it’s quiet, relaxing and quite beautiful sound.

While I would never claim her to be one of my favorite artists, I would also agree there are a few of her songs that I really like.
