After completing the final sentence of the first draft of my dissertation, I decided to check my Facebook. In the last couple of weeks, my social media pages have been filled with videos of the viral Harlem Shake, much to my annoyance (I’m yet to find a truly funny Harlem Shake).
In my post-dissertation browsing, I came across a video titled: Gallon Smashing >>> Harlem Shaking. [For those unfamiliar with the > sign, this translates to Gallon Smashing is greater than Harlem Shaking.] I decided to watch the video despite it’s links with the tedious Harlem Shake, and it was the best decision I’ve made in a long time.
I may be accused of being easily amused, but the video brought me to tears, and I can honestly say I haven’t laughed this hard for a while (approx. one week, since I stopped photoshopping silly pictures and started doing some work: see HERE)
